My Academic Achievement

Hey guys, nice to meet you again. Today I want to share to all of you about My Academic achievement from the first time I fail in exam and from there I motivated myself to become a hard-ambitious person. There is no achievement without failure. The main point is to make sure we realized that we are weak and need a starting point to change ourselves. Here are my background about my journey to become a good student in academic.Enjoy my post!!

Inspiration Quotes
Academic according to dictionary means relating to education and scholarship. On the other hands, academic means not of practical relevance; of only theoretical interest. It was narrated that Anas Bin Malik said : The Messenger of Allah said "Seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim". Knowledge is also mentioned in Glorious Quran in Surah Al Zumar(39;9) "Are those who know and those who do not know alike? Only the men of understanding are mindful". Islam also emphasizes education in life.

My first education starting at a kindergarten named Tadika Sri Pinang. From there I learned A,B,C until Z and from there I knew number 1 until 10. However, I am a naughty student in the kindergarten until my mom came to persuade me until I learned. After that, my education continued in my primary school.

In primary school, I became a nerd and kind person. I entered Sekolah Kebangsaan Indera Mahkota in Kuantan. I was chosen to enter the third class named 1 Tiara. In primary school I must learn Science, Bahasa Malaysia, English, Arabic, Art and Mathematics. During the test and exam, I scored every sucject and got a good result until the real exam Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah(UPSR). I got 5A in UPSR. I am very grateful to get a good result and I thanked my parents for giving me moral and supports. Then, my learning continued in secondary school.

I have applied the integrated school but I failed to enter the school, so I decided to enter the normal school that was Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tengku Panglima Perang Tengku Muhammad in Kuantan, Pahang. I entered the first class because of my good result in UPSR. The class name was 1 Aktif. In secondary school, student must learn new subjects such as Geography, History and Pendidikan Islam. I was an active candidate at the school. I joined variety of sports there such as football, hockey, running, shot put and others. When I was in Form 3, all the students must take an examination called Penilaian Menengah Rendah(PMR). I was ready to take the exam because I prepared myself early by making a revision from the past year questions. During the result day, I got 6A2B because I was weak in English and History subjects. However I was thankful to my teachers for teaching me without thinking about my problems at school. Then I went to the second level in secondary school.

I went to SMK Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom in the Form 4. But I only studied there for 1 year because of the transportation problem. I came again to the my old school, SMK Tengku Panglima Perang because it was near to my house. I took SPM in the school in Form 5. I decided to struggle a lot in my learning. I got 2A only in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia(SPM). I was upset but also grateful because the year was a tough year for me.

Then I was chosen to enter Pahang Matriculation College in two years programme. I love the place very much because I learned the new things there. Just because you are slow, doesnt mean that you cannot achieve successful in life. Here, I learned more deeper into science stream subjects that were tough for me. But that is not a problem for me because when you enter the tertiary level of education, your teacher is your motivator to you. They can help you settle your problem either in academic or anything else. Lecturers and friends are your bestfriend when you are in college, so you will be motivated time by time.

Types of Website

Hi, today I am going to proceed with new subtopic that is Types of Website.

Last few weeks, my lecturer tought us about Types of Website. From the lecture given, I gain more information and explanation about the subtopic. Here are some points that I want to share with you about Types of Website.First of all, our beloved lecturer explained about Portal.

PORTAL
Example of Portal

  • A portal is a website that offers variety of Internet services from single, convenient location based on what our lecturer said.
Most portals offer these free services:
  • Search engine
  • News
  • Sports and Weather
  • Web Publishing
  • Reference tools such as yellow pages, maps, shopping, and e-mail and other communication services
Portal also have online communities.
  • Online community - a website that joins a specific group of people with similar interests or relationships.
  1. These communities may offer online photo albums, chat rooms, and other services to facilitate communication among members.
  2. Popular portals - Yahoo! MSN, iGoogle, AltaVista, AOL, Excite, GO.com and Lycos.
  • A wireless portal - designed for Internet-capable mobile devices.
Secondly, the day next our lecturer told us about Business website. Lets take a look about my explanation regarding to the Business website.

BUSINESS
Example of Business website
From what I understand, definition of business according to the dictionary is a person's regular occupation profession or trade. Besides, business also the practice of making one's living by engaging in commerce. But in computer science, the definition is different.

  • Web site contains content that promotes or sells products or services.
  • Many of enterprises allow you to purchase their products or services online.
In the next lecture class, we were introduced to Blog. Blog is the place where we can post something that we like, make an article etc. Lets enjoy my explanation!!

BLOG

  • A short for Weblog
  • An informal website consisting of time-stamped articles, or posts in a diary or journal format, usually listed in reverse chronological order.
  • Blog is built to reflect the interest, opinions and personalities of the author and sometimes site visitors.
Blogs have become an important means of worldwide communications. Businessman and businesswoman create blogs to communicate with employees, customers and vendors. Besides, teachers create blogs to collaborate with other teachers and students. Last but not least, Home users create blogs to share aspects of their personal life with family, friends, and others. For your information, a blog that contains video sometimes is called a video blog, or vlog. A microblog allows users to publish short messages usually between 100 and 200 characters, for others to read. The collection of a user's Tweets, or posts on Twitter, for example, forms a microblog.

Example of Microblog
Similar to an editorial section in a newspaper, blogs reflect the interests, opinions, and personalities of the author, callled the blogger.

Next, lets talk about Wiki

WIKI

Based on the famous computer science book, Shelly Cashman, a wiki is defined as a type of collaborative webiste that allows users to create, add, modify, or delete the website content via a browser. Wikis can include articles, documents, photos, or videos. Some wikis are public, accesible to everyone. Others are private so that the content is accesible only to certain individuals or groups. Many companies, for example, set up wikis as an intranet for employees to collaborate on projects or access information, procedures, and documents.

Contributors to a wiki typical must register before they can edit content or add comments. Wikis usually hold edits on a webpage until an editor or website manager can review them for accuracy. Unregistered users typically can review the content but cannot edit it or add comments.

Other types of collaboration sites enable users to share and edit any type of project --- including documents, photos, videos, designs, prototypes, schedules, and more, often at the same time. On these websites, comments or edits are seen by other connected users. Most of these websites also enable users to communicate via chat windows, and some provide a whiteboard.

Last but not least, lets explore about Online Social Network

ONLINE SOCIAL NETWORK

What do you know about Online Social Network? Here I would like to share to all of you about Online Social Network, hope you like it. Online Social Network, or social networking site, is a website that encourages members in its online community to share their interests, ideas, stories, photos, music, and videos with other registered users. Some online social network also enable users to communicate through text, voice, and video chat, and play games together online. You interact with an online social network through a browser or mobile app on your computer or mobile device.

Example of Online Social Network

People you know through personal and professional circles form your social networks. You share common interests, work or spend leisure time together, and know many of one another's friends. Online social networks allow you to manage your social networks online.
Your account on an online social network includes profile information, such as your name, location, photos, and personal and professional interests. You might create accounts on several online social networks to separate your personal and professional activities. Online social networks allow you to view the profiles of other users and designate them as your friends or contacts. Some sites, such as Facebook and LinkedIn, require friends to confirm a friendship, while others, such as Twitter and Google+, allow users to follow one another without confirmation. You can expand your online social network by viewing your friends' friends and then, in turn, designating some of them as your friends. Friends of your friends form your your extended contacts.

INTERNET
SERVICES

World Wide Web(www)

  • While the Internet was developed in the late 1960's, the World Wide Web emerged in the early 1990's as an easier way to access online information using a browser. Since then, it has grown phenomenalty to become one of the more widely used services on the Internet.
  • The World Wide Web(www), or web, consists of a worldwide collection of electronic documents. Each electronic document on the web is called a webpage, which can contain text, graphic, animation, audio, and video.
e-mail
  • Email(short for electronic mail) is the transmission of messages and files via a computer network. Email was one of the original services on the internet, enabling scientists and researchers working on government-sponsored projects to communicate with colleagues at other locations.
  • You can use an email program to create, send, receive, forward, store, print, and delete email messages. Email programs are available as desktop apps, web apps, and mobile apps. An email message can be simple text or can include an attachment such as a document, a graphic, an audio clip, or a video clip.
  • Just as you address a letter when using the portal system, you address an email message with the email address of your intended recipient. Likewise, when someone sends you a message, he or she must have your email address.
  • An email address is a combination of a user name and a domain name that identifies a user so that he or she can receive Internet email. A user name is a unique combination of characters, such as letters of the alphabet and/or numbers, that identifies a specific user. Your user name must be different from the other user names in the same domain.

  • Internet messaging services, which often occur in real-time, are communications services that notify you when one or more of your established contacts are online and then allows you to exchange messages or files or join a private chat room with them.
  • Real time means that you and the people with whom you are conversing are online at the same time. Some Internet messaging services support voice and video conversations, allow you to send photos or other documents to a recipient, listen to streaming music, and play games with another online contact.
  • For real-time Internet messaging to work, both parties must be online at the same time. Also, the receiver of a message must be willing to accept messages. To use an Internet messaging service, you may have to install messenger software or an app on the computer or mobile device, such as a smartphone, you plan to use.

Some discussion forums require that you enter a user name and password to participate in the discussion.

For example, a discussion forum for students taking a college course may require a user name and password to access the forum. This ensures that only students in the course participate in the discussion. Posts in a discussion forum usually are stored for a certain amount of time, such as a semester, in this example.
